Due to a rare ticketing arrangement Stripe and PayPal are now on the hook for millions in refunds via delayed card chargebacks, after the merchant, Bluesfest Enterprises, went belly up.
Bluesfest collapse triggers refund confusion
Owner and promoter Peter Noble says, “Rising production, logistics, insurance and touring costs, combined with softer ticket demand and international uncertainties, have made it impossible to proceed with the festival in 2026.”

Due to a rare ticketing arrangement Stripe and PayPal are now on the hook for millions in refunds via delayed card chargebacks, after the merchant, Bluesfest Enterprises, went belly up.
