More than 18 months after receiving $2.1 million in funding for surcharging surveillance, the competition regulator has finally taken action.

ACCC Deputy Chair Mick Keogh says businesses are reminded they must not charge a card payment surcharge that is in excess of their cost of accepting the type of card that is being surcharged.

More than 18 months after receiving $2.1 million in funding for surcharging surveillance, the competition regulator has finally taken action.
